Murchison & Cumming Senior Partner, Jean Lawler has been elected president-elect of the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel. She will be the first woman to serve as president of the FDCC when she assumes that office in July 2004. In 1996 she was the first woman elected to the FDCC board of directors.

As chair of Murchison's insurance law and risk management practice group, Lawler handles complex insurance and bad faith litigation and insurance coverage matters.
